A Message from the Principal

Welcome to the Mabel Park State High School website. This site is designed to provide general information about our school and to direct visitors to our contact details. On this site you will find our Handbook, Enrolment Information, Subject Selection Guides, our Responsible Behaviour Plan and Statement of Standards, the School Annual Report and the School Newsletter.

Our school is physically located within Logan City, one of the fastest growing cities in Australia and provides all students with quality facilities and teaching programs to enhance their learning. The expansive grounds and well maintained learning spaces ensure our students have access to the very best they require to graduate as successful, confident adults.

Our school is first and foremost a place of learning. All activities at Mabel Park SHS will be undertaken with this primary value in mind. We have high standards of expectation regarding

-
Student application to their learning program

-
Compliance with the school’s responsible behaviour plan, and the endorsed uniform standard

-
Tolerance for others and involvement in the life of the school and our community

Our school is a member of the ENABLE coalition. This innovative and dynamic group of eleven Logan Albert Beaudesert District state high schools ensures that the member schools and their staff work in cooperation to formulate plans, and develop practice that is first class. Our schools have adopted common charters of Leadership, Learning and Behaviour. We are also a Beacon Foundation school. Membership of the Beacon foundation allows us to contribute to the key strategy of Beacon which is “to initiate original and innovative projects that demonstrate solutions to youth unemployment and encourage self-help at the local level.” Our school is also a member of the Logan Albert Beaudesert district Innovation Corridor collaboration of schools and as such we are developing and applying strong leadership strategies to our learning program, deployment of resources and strategic direction. These are three of the many wonderful activities that Mabel Park has to offer.

I am proud to be the Principal of Mabel Park SHS and enjoy supporting our staff as they contribute to the future success of our local young people. Enjoy browsing our pages and learning about our school.
