The iMPact Project is a program offered to Year 7, 8 and 9 students at Mabel Park State High School that takes a collaborative and integrated approach to teaching the core subjects, English, History, Maths and Science.
Based on the research of Michael Fullan, the iMPact curriculum is underpinned by the development of six 21st century competencies:
- Critical Thinking
Our vision is that graduates of The iMPact Project are empowered with a skillset that allows them to succeed in the 21st century. Graduates will have an understanding of the challenges of an increasingly complex and globalised world and will emerge as lifelong learners that are motivated to reach their full potential. They will have an understanding of global citizenship and will work to sustain and improve natural and social environments through the work that they do.
Applications are open now for students entering Year 7, 8 or 9 in 2021.
Successful applicants for the 2021 intake will possess a strong desire to collaborate, think outside the box and demonstrate a growth mindset.
