The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
At Mabel Park State High School, all students in years 7 and 9 will be completing NAPLAN testing from Wednesday 11th March – Monday 23rd March 2026, with a practice test on Thursday 26th February 2026.
Students will be tested in the following 4 areas, and all tests will be completed on a laptop:
- Writing
- Reading
- Conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation)
- Numeracy
It is important to remember that NAPLAN is not about passing or failing, but about assessing learning progress.
