Mabel Park State High School is located in Logan City, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We are a unique school with a growing school population of 1,700 students and cater for students in years 7 to 12.
Our school is first and foremost a place of learning. All activities at Mabel Park State High School are undertaken with this primary value in mind.
As a result our school is focused on:
- individual achievement
- student welfare
- responsible behaviour
- education of the whole person
- leadership
- providing opportunities and choices, and
- celebrating success.
In the Junior School we cater to individual student needs to enable all students to access the curriculum. In doing so, we strive for improvement in literacy and numeracy through the additional allocation of time in English and Mathematics classes and incorporating the Reading to Learn program.
Mabel Park State High School initiates original and innovative projects that demonstrate solutions to youth unemployment. As such, in the secondary school, 100% of our students have consistently achieved the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), one or more Vocational Training and Education qualifications and 100% of eligible students are offered their ATAR preference. This has provided positive and productive pathways for students into traineeships, apprenticeships, the workforce, TAFE and University.
