Mabel Park State High School's GP clinic is a first in kind for Queensland State Schools, offering students free access to a General Practitioner one day per week.  Aligning with the Department of Education's State School Improvement Strategy 2021-2025, the GP clinic incorporates a range of priorities, principles and improvement measures contributing towards 'Every Student Succeeding'.

Operating in partnership with UQ Health Care, and supported by the Childrens' Health Queensland Hospital and Health Services, the clinic has successfully completed the initial trial phase and is now embedding additional allied health services including psychology.  Further expansion will include services and other health professionals based on identified student needs.

This important health and well-being initiative positively impacts students, staff and the broader community. For further information please read the GP Clinic fact sheets (PDF, 579KB).
