Do you love using technology but want to learn how to create it?
DigiTech is a hands on practical junior school subject where students learn how to solve problems using computational thinking and create technological solutions through developing skills in coding and robotics. Students will develop game design and animation skills using Scratch and then progress into learning other coding languages such as Python, HTML and CSS. Throughout the course, students will engage with learning how to use Robotics to solve real world problems for applications such as driverless cars, automation, military and entertainment. If you choose DigiTech, you will learn valuable problem solving, critical thinking, design and project management skills to solve the problems of our future.
In Year 10, DigiTech, students prepapre for their senior studies in the Applied ICT subject where they can earn two QCE points. Throughout this course you will design and create your own websites, solve problems using robotics, dive into graphic design and digital media and learn how to code applications using python programming language.
